Hue = a color or shade:

Primary Colors = a group of colors from which all other colors can be obtained by mixing:

Secondary Colors = color resulting from the mixing of two primary colors:

Tertiary Colors = tertiary colors are colors made by mixing one primary color with one secondary color:

Analogous Colors = Analogous color schemes use colors that are next to each other on the color wheel:

Monochromatic Colors = Monochromatic colors are all the colors of the same hue:

Complementary Colors = colors directly opposite each other in the color spectrum:

High Intensity = colors with high intensity:

Low Intensity = colors with low intensity:

Warm colors = Red, orange, and yellow. These colors are known as the warm colors because they are the colors in fire:

Cool colors = colors such as blue, green, and violet. These colors are known as the cool colors because they are the colors of water, ice, ponds, lakes, etc:
